Abstract: GoforIT is a Norwegian initiative focusing on how to build knowledge and competence on sustainability among IT professionals. It involves IKT Norge, NTNU (and other universities), a large number of IT-companies, and unions (Tekna/NITO) GoForIT: Bærekraft i IT-utdanningene – IKT-Norge

The presentation will present the rationale for evolving the IT-education to take sustainability into account, and discuss different models for how this can be done concretely in software engineering and computer science education

Birgit Krogstie bio: Associate Professor at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. Research interests in information technology in work and learning, drawing on a dual educational background in Computer Science and Educational Theory.

John Krogstie bio: Professor at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. He is the Norwegian representative and previously Vice-Chair for IFIP TC8 and was chair of IFIP WG 8.1 on information system design and evaluations (2010-2015). His research interests are information systems modeling, information systems engineering, quality of models and modeling languages, eGovernment, sustainable smart cities, and sustainable digitalization in general.
